Top 10 Fugitive Captured in Tulare

In a recent development, the Tulare County Sheriff's Office successfully captured a top 10 fugitive, Luis Lomeli, in Tulare. Lomeli, a 19-year-old from Orosi, was apprehended by Detectives with the Sheriff’s Street Crimes Unit on January 5, 2024, after a multi-block chase.

Luis Lomeli was wanted for a felony domestic violence warrant and for a previous short pursuit with the TCSO during which he discarded a loaded gun. Upon his capture, detectives discovered three guns, including a short-barreled style assault rifle, and drugs for sale, including Fentanyl. Additionally, five other adults were arrested at the scene along with Lomeli.

Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance in providing information that led to Lomeli's capture. The Sheriff's TipNow Program played a crucial role in gathering information on the Sheriff’s Top 10 Most Wanted Criminals.
