Blue Oak Academy issued the following announcement on Dec. 3
Due to covid, this year has been a struggling year for all, and some more than others. Besides the impact on many people's finances, many organizations have not been able to provide the annual typical opportunities that encourage people to participate in community charitable programs. In light of this, I reached out and asked Toys for Tots to allow us to be a donation center. I'm so proud to announce that they just dropped off our boxes which are now in front of the school! They collect new, unwrapped toys for children between the ages of 3-14 (ages 11-14 is the highest need!). They will be picking up on 12/15. Help us meet the goal to fill two boxes in two weeks (2 in 2). This is a beautiful way to give a little something back to our community while also encouraging our Blue Oak students in this school wide service learning project.
In addition, if you know of families that would like a little extra help with gifts this time of year, they can apply on the FB page of Toys for Tots Tulare/Visalia.
